Belly Dancing
Dancing since 1998 and armed with a degree in Kinesiology, Monique's passion for movement is more than just a pastime. Taught by some of the art forms greatest stars including Sharon Kihara, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Ariellah and Amy Sigil of Unmata, Monique is at the forefront of the Tribal Fusion bellydance movement in Halifax.
Recently voted The Coast magazine's BEST DANCER, you can often find her performing independently around the city, with Pink Velvet Burlesque, or with her own Tribal Fusion group, Mahari Tribal. A popular local instructor, Monique is interested in helping to increase the self-esteem of women through dance and fun, creative expression.

Human Pyramid
These two incredible circus performers are multi-talented. They perform together orchestrating a stunning hand-balancing/human pyramid act as well as performing several solo acts.
Epitomizing teamwork, integration and balance, this act is unique and visually impressive. They have performed at venues such as the Pre-Oscar Party at the Casino Hotel in March 2003, the Nova Scotia International Tattoo 2003 (10 shows in front of over 70 000 people) in June 2003, a series of performances at the Museum of Natural History during the summer of 2003, as well as various TV and newspaper appearances as members of Atlantic Cirque.
Technical requirements: A minimum of 12 foot ceiling is required.

This type of circus act is available for conventions, private functions, galas, films, commercials, etc. It can also be easily incorporated into casino or cruise ship entertainment line-ups.

Fire Eaters (Marissa)
Marissa has been an international specialty act for over 7 years. Her performances are each unique showing not only an impressive show of skill but a deep understanding of this powerful element.
From 3 min to 30min every performance is unique and breathtaking and will be customized to suit your event. All elements of her show adhere to the NAAFA guidelines for fire safety in performance, hazardous material transport and fire safety codes. She is fully covered under the Specialty Insurance Agency. Certificates of coverage are available for each performance and can be written up for events and municipalities.
SHOWS: Eating and Transfers: Marissa’s fire eating routine includes extinguishing 1.5 foot flames from impressive 2 inch Kevlar wicks with her mouth, transferring flames with her tongue fingers palms and various parts of her body. She passes flames from torch to torch with vapors held in her mouth; as well as the Volcano: a small fireball transferred from one torch to the next lighting it and engulfing it in a ball of flames. Duo Fire eating routines are available.
Fire fingers: Fire fingers are long stem-like torches fixed to the ends of Miss Molotov's fingers. She dances with the fingers in a hypnotic fashion each 4 inch flame dangerously close to her body as she finishes by breathing fire off the flames.
Fire Flashing: This fire art, along with fire eating is traced back to ancient India. In religious rites men would engage in fakir to demonstrate their godlike powers. Fire fleshing is captivating and breathtaking; torches are elegantly run along the skin leaving trails of flame on the flesh. Unlit trails are also lit transferring flames from one torch to another leaving Molotov unharmed.
Fire breathing: Miss Molotov Breathes large balls of fire and smaller pulsing breaths. Other tricks include pillars of flames and fire breath arches and transfers, a fire breath transferring fire breaths from torch to torch or from performer to performer.

Audiences of all ages and backgrounds are spellbound by Haleigh's displays of fire-eating, -breathing, -fleshing, and -spinning. The fire arts may be presented as an ongoing sideshow act to spice up your event, as a a fully choreographed feature stage routine incorporating other circus arts... or anything in between. Acts typically range from 3-15 minutes and may include:· fire-eating (extinguishing and manipulating flames in the mouth).· fire-breathing (small fireballs and/or large vertical pillars)
· fleshing (trails of flame applied and manipulated on the body)
· fire staff spinning
· fire-dancing with palm torches, fire-fingers, and other specialty tools
· partner or group acts with other local and visiting artists (by request; subject to availability).

Juggling Acts
After having trained full time as a Juggler and circus performer for the last 4 years, following a bachelors degree in acting, David has begun professionally performing his solo juggling act. A number combining both classical and contemporary juggling styles David has spent years researching new movements while maintaining a sense of fluidity and ease of movement. The end result is an original, very high energy club juggling number in which is both captivating and physically impressive.
Act Description: After having interrupted his shower to answer the telephone, David quickly learns that sometimes it's best just to let the answering machine take it. A juggling number that explores the passions that each person has within themselves and how those passions can take control of your life even when you fight against it. A fast paced, high energy juggling number which impresses with both it's precision and the fluidity of movement with which David performs.

Break Dancers (Concrete Roots)
Concrete Roots is a group of motivated, like-minded bboys who are striving to increase the growth of our community for the benefit of both Atlantic Canadian youth and positive hip hop culture. It is our goal to develop the Atlantic Canadian urban dance scene by offering workshops in schools and communities so youths will have an outlet for creative expression through physical activity, and organize events so they may showcase their talents.

I have had comments from clients telling me that this was a great way to make non-company spouses feel “included” in the events of the evening.
